Intermediate/Advanced Gymnastics

Class Description
Our Intermediate/Advanced Gymnastics program (ages 5–17) provides comprehensive training across all four events: floor exercise, beam, bars, and vault. INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILL ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS: FLOOR: Perfected cartwheel, handstand, bridge kick-over off a mat. BEAM: Clean execution (straight arms & legs, pointed toes) on the high beam, including relevé walks, kicks, forward jumps, and walking backwards. BARS: Front support, three straight-arm casts, forward roll, and "skin the cat," all unassisted. VAULT: Unassisted jump forward roll with straight arms, legs, pointed toes. INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILL DEVELOPMENT: FLOOR: Bridge kickovers (on floor), round-offs, round-off jump to back on trampoline, backward rolls to feet on floor, handstand bridge kick-overs, back handspring drills. BEAM: Straight jump, lever positions, pivot turns, side handstand dismounts. BARS: Pullovers, back hip, sole circle dismounts. VAULT: Straight jump to handstand fall flat, handstand fall flats. MANDATORY EVALUATIONS: All students must be evaluated before entering Intermediate or Advanced levels: • Current Students: Your instructor will monitor progress and notify you when it is time to move up. • New Students: Please contact Charity Painter at 423-664-2752 to schedule a skill assessment prior to registration.

Cancellation Policy
Please make sure you and/or your child are willing to commit to the session and there are no scheduling conflicts prior to booking. • Cancellations will be refunded minus processing fees ($7) up to 1 week prior to classes beginning. Less than one week before class begins will be refunded at 50%. • No refunds will be issued after classes have begun. • If you need to change to a different class, contact us at signalschoolofpe@gmail.com to cancel the current registration up to 1 week before the first class and re-register for another class, provided there are available openings. Refunds for the original booking will be less any processing fees. Exceptions: If something should happen that we are unable to offer the class or a student illness or injury that would prevent attending 4 or more classes (doctor's note required). If a class is unable to meet on a scheduled day due to inclement weather or instructor availability, we will do our best to schedule a make-up date for that class.
